OLD Monastic Visit, Friday 11 to Monday 13 November, 2022

Invitation

We are happy to inform you that Self-Realization Fellowship monastic disciples will visit Sydney, 11–13 November, 2022 to meet with members and friends of Paramahansa Yogananda’s spiritual family. During the weekend there will be inspirational programs, meditation classes, and Kriya Yoga initiations. See the weekend schedule below. We hope you will be able to join us for this time of divine fellowship – a wonderful opportunity to delve deeper in the understanding and practice of Paramahansa Yogananda’s teachings. Even if you cannot come for the whole weekend, we would be glad to have you with us for any of these events.

All are welcome to attend the inspirational programs. However, to attend classes on the meditation techniques, you will be asked to show a student or Kriyaban card for admittance. Newcomers interested in studying the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda may attend these classes by enrolling for the Self-Realization Fellowship Lessons, either before or during the weekend program.

We joyously anticipate meeting with you to share the inspiration of our Guru’s soul-revealing teachings. He told us:

Those who sincerely seek Him will surely find Him.
Those who want to love the Lord and yearn to enter His kingdom,
and who sincerely wish in their hearts to know Him, will find Him.
You must have an ever-increasing desire for Him, day and night.
He will acknowledge your love by fulfilling His promise to you throughout eternity,
and you shall know joy and happiness unending.

Public lecture held in Surry Hills, April 2019

Sydney Centre hosted a free public lecture in April for over 200 attendees in Surry Hills. The speaker was Brother Devananda who was visiting Australia from SRF headquarters in Los Angeles accompanied by Brother Jitananda. The lecture was entitled ‘Meditation, the source of lasting joy’ and included a guided meditation.

The two monastics mingled with participants afterwards enjoying refreshments and Indian street food and answering questions about the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda.
